meet the principal - ellise locke
Ellise Locke, 27, is the founder and principal of The ELDC. Ellise is a professional dancer and can often be seen working in films, TV shows, commercials and performing live for global brands and artists. She began dancing at the age of ten where she fell in love with dance. She then went on through higher education to train vocationally at a prestigious stage school where she gained her first class BA honors degree in professional and commercial dance. Her professional training lasted four years, including intense ten hour long days, five days a week, focusing on classical ballet, jazz, contemporary, hip hop styles, tap and commercial dance. In between her training Ellise has worked and trained globally, broadening her knowledge and experience to great heights. In her first year of professional training she was awarded with a full scholarship to the Abby Lee Dance Company in LA by Miss Abby herself.
Since then she has returned to Hollywood most summers and continues to seek the best training for her own artistic development.
Along with this, Ellise is also enhanced DBS checked, first aid trained and regularly updates her child protection and safeguarding policies and training for herself and her staff.
Ellise's academic qualifications and certificates include; First Class BA Hons in Professional and Commercial Dance, HNC in Dance Teaching, Professional teaching member of the UKA, AcroTrix acrobatics teaching certification, Level 3 Fitness Diploma (Personal Trainer / Fitness Instructor), Neuro-Linguistic Programming Certificate, Level 3 Diploma In sports science.
ELDC currently holds some of the most acclaimed and prestigious awards in the competitive dance industry despite only being a few years in to the journey. ELDC is a proud home to BRITISH champions, UK Champions, CYD? Regional champions, Destination Dance 2023 Teen CHAMPIONS, Dance Inspirations International Champions, the list goes on. We are also extremely to be selected each year to represent ENGLAND in the most prestigious DANCE WORLD CUP!
Ellise's Dance competition titles include European champion, Dancer of the year, British champion, City of Glasgow champion, All England champion, City of Ayr Champion, and many more.
Some of Ellise's Professional credits include brands such as Adidas, Puma, Selfridges, Misguided, Boohoo, The couture club, Forever Unique and many more.
Professional dance credits in films and TV shows include GOLD, 8 out 10 cats series, world cup commercial, fashion commercial, Bulletproof SKY, Years and Years and many more.
Ellise's passion for teaching is equally as huge as her passion for performing which makes ELDC a very exciting movement to be a part of.
